Jasper Lynn + Wes
So my roommate got married at the Space Gallery in Denver, we did our portrait shoot at night so I brought fire boyee! I am always thrilled to see the different sides of weddings and this one one hit on all the levels. There was so much love and joy through out the day, but the iceberg of character definitely comes up again. I spoke about it in that post I put up about a shoot in Canada. But in short, as impressive as an iceberg is above the water, it’s only 10% that you are actually seeing. There is an evermore impressive 90% majority beneath the surface. And so goes character, for the 10% I actually get to see at the wedding there is an ever so strong 90% of character that I don’t get to see. Well, in most cases. With Wes my roommate I got to see the 90%, I got to have conversations about it during different stages of their relationship. There was so much content beneath the surface of their day, that the strength of their love and connection was easily seen. When Wes was preparing to propose he bought a few old books and took the center out kinda of like how an inmate would hide an icepick in a bible you know like in those old movies. Anyway, I got to see Wes tirelessly score each page out of these huge books just in the name of love. It took him weeks taking up the basement and living room with his project.. all to show his bride how special she is. I loved this. This is just one example. This is the character of love. This is the iceberg beneath the water. Congrats my friends may your love continue to burn. In Him. – Adonye Jaja
