I have wanted to capture this first portrait at a Nigerian wedding for a long time and I am so happy to have been able to do it for Tolu & Liz!  These two are very special to me, Tolu has been a family friend for a long time, so it was an immense pleasure to photograph him and his beautiful bride Liz!  Nigerian Weddings are crazy, emotional and just down right fun so I hope you enjoy what we did here.  I battled on the edit of this first image, somehow I wanted it with a little more contrast and a little darker overall.  But there is an honesty in the expression of Liz’s face that was lost with the other edit and this one fit’s the post better.  I will probably post the other one later so be sure to check back in a couple of weeks.  So the first set of images are from what’s called an Engagement Ceremony that happened the night before the wedding it is a hilarious yet emphatic event that involves plenty of spraying and praying! …..and eating of course. The next day is a full wedding; starting off with a traditional American ceremony, and then during the reception they reenter with traditional Nigerian attire! It was such a pleasure a and a beast of an edit.  Let me know what you think in the comment section below!
