Dumbo Brooklyn, New York Engagement Shoot

I love NY!  I know it’s a cliche, but every time I go I fall in love with a different part of New York that I didn’t know existed.  In turn, I fall in love with a different part of myself.  If you haven’t been you have to go, and then go again.  So this time I had an engagement shoot in Dumbo, a pretty cool area of Brooklyn, NY.  Brooklyn is cool enough, but Dumbo is the area around the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridge right along the river, so neat.  I met Russ an Carly at a cookie place called One girl cookies, which I am only writing about because they had some extremely small cookies, like the size of quarter.  They were really good but I’m a big boy you know.   I want more cookie.

Russ & Carly were wonderful to shoot and super troopers as we tromped around Dumbo, I was a little worried that we wouldn’t get any sun, (if you follow my work you know I love to shoot in the sun) but it came out to play, so I was happy! The shoot was fun, I enjoyed hearing about the city from Russ and Carly told me that they have been dating long distance for four years which makes me so happy, I love love and photographing the way it grows like a plant among my clients.  Drawing them together, blossoming in the form of hugs, kisses, weddings, photographs. 🙂  I am so pumped for their wedding in New York in June, It will be grand!  Thanks So much Russ and Carly and congratulations!
