Lauren + Josiah
It has been far too long since I blogged, but the season is upon us, so there will be plenty of things to share in the coming weeks. Here is a Wedding from my home in Colorado Springs. I’ve always wanted to got to a Shove Chapel wedding and was thrilled that I was able to photograph in this wonderful space. The reception was at The Pinery at the hill, then we did a bonus “day after shoot” at the illustrous Paint mines.. yeah I was on cloud nine like seriously… What I find amazing about my clients is that they not only go where I go and entertain my silly whims but they do it in a tux and dress with smiles on their faces!! I love it! Lauren & Josiah are friends of mine here in the Colorado Springs; I often let Josiah beat me in chess just because I’ve wanted to boost his confidence before his big wedding day…but now that the wedding has passed I probably won’t let him win anymore. But, that’s not important. I’ve been thinking a lot of the four loves as described by C.S. Lewis.. more directly how I want a portion of the four loves to be present in any relationship I am in. They were abundantly clear during Lauren and Josiah’s day. I won’t expound with too many words in an effort to expose these two in other ways (see what I did there..expose..you know, cause I am a photographer ;). But from romance to friendship to family these two have a love saturated in God and it is soo attractive. Just look at it. Congrats you too. Love on my friends, both simply and with complexity. For Cheer.
Big ups to Claudia Verduzco for flying in for hair and make up; Sloan, for being such a wonderful coordinator and Rachel Long for being a baller second shooter!
Also, yes that is Montell Jordan #thisishowwedoit
